Epilogue Year 10

July 2026

 Magnus Gallant, Pinterest Mom (Sabres), Bu sb, CC Keane, Poison Mushroom, and Jonathan Fisk (retiring) have left their teams.

I resigned my position but then couldn't find a shortlist and didn't get emails about retirements so I decided, instead, that next time national team jobs come open I'll apply for them and move into international management.

Re-signed
Magnus Galalnt, 1 year, $3.9 million
Pinterest Mom, 1 year, $7.5 million
Poison Mushrom, 1 year, $1 million

Keane signed a 1 year deal with Nottingham Panthers (ENG), 1 year, $110,000.

Fisk officially retired on July 22nd.

Poison Mushroom was waived and released.

August 2026

September 2026

 Po Que and Po Dima are captain and alternate captain again.

Poison Mushroom signed for 1 year, $625,000, and was immediately waived and assigned to Tuscon (AHL).

Podima was put on the trading block, generating a lot of interest, and then waived instead. So, of course.


He was claimed, meaning Scumhunters got nothing for him. Enjoy Nashville, Pod!

Retro Futurist, Po Que, and Kash Uno were also put on the trading block.

Season Preview puts Scumhunters at 26th.

October 2026

 Magnus Gallant was added to the trading block.

Kashuno was waived and assigned to Tuscon (AHL). He was then quickly re-assigned to Rapid City Rush (ECHL).

Scumhunters are 1-7-3, 14th place

November 2026

 Quid Nose was put on the trading block.

Poison Mushroom was re-assigned to Rapid City Rush (ECHL).

Scumhunters are 7-16-2, 13th place.

December 2026

 Magnus Gallant hit 200 NHL games.

Retro Futurist hit 800 NHL games.

Scumhunters are 12-23-3, 14th place.

January 2027

 We got our first retirement announcement of the year and amazingly it's not Poque.


It's Asiina.

And then another!


Keane will be leaving us.

Scumhunters are 16-31-4, 14th place.

February 2027

Since they are all foreign based, playing short seasons, I'll probably do their memorials in order starting with Asiina in March.

Busb has ended his unemployed spell by moving to Grenoble in France, where he'll get $50,000 for two months of work.

Pinterest Mom hit 500 NHL points.

Scumhunters are 16-37-8, 14th place

March 2027

 Po Que hit 300 NHL assists.

Retro Futurist hit 200 NHL assists.

Scumhunters are 21-45-11, 14th place.

Asiina had an international appearance while playing for Geneve-Servette back in April 2022. Missed that. Probably at the World Championships. Sorry!

April 2027

 Scumhunters finished 22-48-12, 14th place.

 Asiina (retiring), Capitalist Pig, Bu Sb, CC Keane (retiring), and MMM Whatchya Say (retiring) all left their foreign teams.

Capitalist Pig signs for Karlskoga in Sweden for 1 year, $28,000.

Busb signed for AIK in Sweden for 1 year, $180,000.

June 2027

 The Ottawa Senators defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-1 to win the Stanley Cup.

Rounding the corner

I apologize for missing Friday. I was in Delaware and didn't get home until super late, followed by a day trip to Dallas for the weekend so time was not in high supply. I will do a make-up entry tomorrow. Additionally, I'm trying something new this entry: Video! Epilogue Year 14

July 2030 Quid Nose, This is a Stickup, and Po Dima are all out of contract. Retro Futurist retired on July 17th. Quid Nose signed a 2 year, $110,000 per year deal with Lustenau in Austria. This is a Stickup signed a 1 year, $141,000 deal with Tappara in Finland. Also, this happened. I landed here. Po Dima, the oldest player in the game, remains without a team. I halfway think he may just retire. August 2030 September 2030 He actually retired a day later. Podima's memorial. He's rated as a 5 star because I'm currently in the ECHL. His last check in at the NHL level was a 1 star. This means we only have 3 Scumhunters left, and none of them are playing in the NHL currently. October 2030 With everyone playing overseas, we won't get many updates for NHL milestones, so this should go very quickly. I may end up doing a 2-for-1 and combine two years in this. Epilogue Year 6

July 2022 Ecco Raven, Magnus Gallant, Murmur Twin (Kings), CC Keane (Ducks), Diq Nol (retiring), Bird Strike, Kash Uno (Blue Jackets), and Retro Futurist (Kings) are all out of contract and have left their respective teams. Ecco signed for Scumhunters for 4 years, $3.3 million per year Murmur Twin signed for Scumhunters for 1 year, $4.8 million Retro Futurist signed for Scumhunters for 4 years, $3.7 million per year Bird Strike signed for Scumhunters for 2 years, $1.8 million per year Magnus Gallant signed for Scumhunters for 3 years, $1.35 million per year CC Keane signed for Scumhunters for 2 years, $3.6 million per year Kashuno signed for Scumhunters for 3 years, $1.6 million per year LOL that Bird is getting less money than Ecco. Bird has always started and Ecco has been #2. I wonder if that is changing?
