SA Mafia Hockey Updates

Apologies for missing Friday. It was supposed to be my day off work and I ended up working 12 hours and just got tired. I posted my charity payment in the sports channel on the Discord. I'm going to try a different style of update today so feedback is appreciated. On to today's update. We start off against the Ducks. We're in 5th, they're in 6th. Very important game. Knowing how important this game is, we get off to a quick start. This is a Stickup and Pinterest Mom get us going. Before the end of the 1st, Murmur Twin will add a third. The second period is uneventful. The third period saw us grab another goal a few minutes in, courtesy of Wren. Very quickly the Ducks struck back and, while leading 4-2, things looked shaky. With the All Star Break in this update, and with me having some work to do tonight, this is gonna be a short update. Let's jump right in. Uhhh... maybe this will be a one game update. This game was out of reach within seven minutes. Frustration. Game two here goes much better. We found ourselves down 2-0 but a great fight back led by Podima's two goals and an assist saw us through. Well, on the road. Had a 2 goal lead. Lost that. Took the lead again. Lost it. Made it to overtime. Snooze Cruise got a high sticking penalty just before OT so we played 80% of the bonus period down a person. And then we missed both of our shots in the shootout. Tough loss. Well lets hope the All Star game can reinvigorate us. Well, Team Dias got ran through, but The Lord of Hats notched up a (second) assist! Also, I happened to notice this. We start off this update with some good injury news. I'll probably wait to slot him back into the lineup. Him and Fisk are my worst two players by average rating this season and I want to see if Fisk can compete for the spot. In truth, Center has been a void. My top four ranked centers are my four worst players. Meanwhile, Kashuno, who should be the odd man out as my #5 Center talent-wise has been one of the best players on the team this season. I'm just not sure what to do with any of that. I just discovered a new screen actually. I'll have to start adding this at the end of updates along with leaders and stats. Cool beans. Anyway, on to the games. We've got a four game home stand to start this update off. Well, that's a less than ideal start. Sorry folks! A long month of work means I didn't have a lot of time to do this like I wanted. However, I'm gonna be on a regular Monday / Wednesday / Friday updates now through the end, with the exception of tomorrow because I'm posting this update today instead. The penalty being a $50 donation to charity for each one I miss. Ok, back to the hockey! A road win????? What is this madness???? But it's a good start after a long layoff. PMom with a goal and two assists was amazing for us today. This road win was coupled with some good news. Gonna have to reconfigure the lineups a bit to accommodate PMush's return, but that is probably a good problem to have. Poque is going to slot back in immediately. Shoring up the defense will probably help us as we approach the middle of the season. Birdstrike was tired and needed a rest so EccoRaven stepped in at goalie.
